Christmas 2008

Christmas was extra special this year with our son present!  He was too small to to open gifts on his own, but we were very willing to help.  Mommy and Santa had a talk earlier in the month and she passed on Braedyn's wish list.  It seems that other relatives were thinking along the same lines as he received three sweater vest outfits!  Now he is ready for any occasion and will have a hard time picking out just the right clothes!

We spent Christmas Eve evening with Grammie and Papa's family.  Traveling to church in Sunbury to hear Uncle Nathaniel play the drums at service and Listen to the heavenly voices of Aunt Chelsea's parents.  Christmas morning we continued our tradition of starting the festivities at home, as Santa had dropped by, and then went back to Grammie and Papa's for breakfast and gifts there!  Bradeyn slept for a lot of it, and woke up in time to open his gifts with mommy and daddy's help.  Before leaving we made a stop at the neighbor's to show off his reindeer costume that they had given us!

Christmas afternoon we met with Grandma and Grandpa's family at their house.  Cousin Connor needed a little reminding about opening gifts, but after the first one, he tore into them!  Great Grandma and Great Grandpa were also there, and were able to spend a little more awake time with their great grandson!  Again, Braedyn needed a little help with his gifts, but was blessed to be with family.  what a joyous and blessed first Christmas!

Technologically up-to-date

After a short/long two months at home with our son, we are finally getting around to creating a site for us to keep everyone current with Braedyn's growth.  Hopefully I will be able to update this site frequently and learn how to post pictures and videos.

the status as of today... Braedyn was 10 lbs 12 oz and 22 inches at his 1 month appointment on December 2.  We have his two month appointment scheduled for Tuesday December 30 and will receive the new stats then.  When weighing him at home the last couple days, he has weighed in at 14.8 lbs!  Our gigantor!

He is sleeping fairly well and is such a treasure.  Braedyn started smiling socially, that is at mom and dad, not just gas, when he was about four weeks old.  He has giggled a couple times in his sleep but nothing while he is awake yet.  He has been sleeping in his nursery for 3 weeks, and loves the decor.  It is all money themed, and we have various monkeys hung on the walls.  Daddy and Braedyn have named one Applesauce, and another one Bananas.  Bananas is by far his favorite monkey and he talks to him every day!  Nolan and I just put up monkey decals on the walls today, and Braedyn noticed them, and smiled as he looked at them around the room.
